Overview

The perfect lesson for learning the basics of this sport. On this lesson you’ll learn to:

 Become more self-reliant with the board in and out of the water

 Recognise the different waves and cope with them

 Practice paddling with arms and legs

 And you'll have a great time doing sport and looking after your health

 

Prices

Prices for a surf group lesson are:

1 to 2 people .49€ / person

If you enrol more than two people we’ll give you a discount on the price of the course.

-10% 3 to 4 people . 44€ / person
-20% 5 or more . 39€ / person

All the necessary equipment and accident insurance comes included.
Note: Surf and paddleboarding lessons are usually done in small groups (max. 8 people) and take place regularly. Information and times.
If you have done the beginners surfing course the price for a single surf lesson is 35€/person

Details

This is a two hours surfing instruction with insurance and surfing equipment (board, wetsuit...) included.

On this lesson you’ll learn the following:

  • Safety and surf etiquette in and out of the water
  • Entering the water correctly
  • Paddling and position on top of the surfboard
  • Getting through a wave
  • Sitting on the board and the standby position
  • Steering the board
  • Catching the wave
  • Taking off and riding the wave
  • Moving on the face of the wave
  • Bailing out/kicking out
  • Finishing the wave
  • What to do if you fall off
  • Return to the beach

Thanks to the slope of the seabed, the waves in Barcelona and Castelldefels make for ideal surfing classes, recommendable for both adults and children (from 7 years old). At our school you’ll find people of all ages!

The price of the course includes:

Important note: You must arrive to the school 15-20 minutes before the lesson starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

You should bring a towel, swimwear (close fitting as it is more comfortable under a wetsuit), flip-flops and sunscreen, and water shoes in winter.

If a lesson has been scheduled because the forecast was favourable, but when we arrive at the beach finally there are no waves, we either cancel the class or organize alternative activities as you wish. You pay to go surfing.

All the equipment is included in the surf lesson or course. In addition to a surf or paddle board we will provide you with a wetsuit of the right size.

Mi experiencia con la Escola Catalana de Surf es muy buena! Grupos reducidos con grandes profesionales que saben transmitir su pasión por el surf. Hace unos meses que estoy disfrutando de sus clases. La localización es ideal. También puedes alquilar material (tablas y neopreno). Muy recomendable!!!
