Overview

The main goal of this surf pack is to provide surfers with the technical and physical skills needed to perform manoeuvres on the waves and to teach them surf etiquette – knowing how to be in the water, respecting the line-up and so on.

We also strengthen the psychological aspect of self-improvement and promote self-reliance in and out of the water, with the pupils learning how to choose the equipment best suited to the sea conditions in terms of quality, safety and fun.

The surf packs offer you complete flexibility to learn to surf at your own pace, with 8, 12, and 20 classes options available to be used over a year.

Details

This surfing pack is aimed at those people who want to make continuous progress on their surfing. 

The organization of improvement groups focuses on the search for the best waves depending on the students’ level. For this reason we have a mobile school, which allows us to move between Montgat, Castelldefels and Sitges according to the wave conditions.

The classes last about two hours, during which there will be a general warm-up, a theory class and a practical class to work on the goals proposed by the instructor depending on each pupil’s level.

Every week, between Thursday and Friday, we will send you e-mails announcing class days, times and venues. Just click on the email link to confirm your attendance. Only those days when the student comes to class are discounted from the voucher.

After you book, we’ll send you emails announcing courses every time there are waves ideal for learning to surf. Just click on the email link to confirm when you’ll be coming. This way we make sure you learn to surf in ideal conditions.

Important note: You must arrive to the school 15-20 minutes before the lesson starts.

Your booking will be valid for one year from the time of payment.

Yes, you have changing rooms with showers at your disposal.

You must know how to swim to go on any of the courses at the Escola Catalana de Surf. It is also advisable to be in good physical shape, which will help you take greater advantage of the course.

Our schools are in Castelldefels and Barcelona. We also have the mobile school, with which we move to the beaches with the best waves, like Sitges or Montgat. See more details on our contact page.

Our classes are usually two hours long. Times may vary; we'll send you an email with the scheduled classes on a weekly basis. 

At the school we have pupils of very different ages, from 6 to 60. We organise activities for all kinds of people, ages and surfing levels.

All the equipment is included in the surf lesson or course. In addition to a surf or paddle board we will provide you with a wetsuit of the right size.

Six years old. Pupils must know how to swim.

Los monitores son excelentes. Te ayudan, se preocupan por ti y al cabo de unas clases se convierten casi en amigos. El resto de alumnos también son muy agradables y amables. El material siempre está cuidado y en buen estado. Sin duda, volveré ya que he disfrutado muchísimo estas clases.

Un equipazo de 10!! El material, tabla y neopreno, es de muy buena calidad, la clase fue excelente y siempre muy bien acompañados. Las instalaciones están en muy buen estado y recomiendo que todo el que se quiera iniciar en el mundo del surf, se acerque a la playa del Port Ginesta, es una playa excelente, todo arena y muy controlada por el equipo.

Experiencia perfecta. Honestamente fuimos con la idea de hacer una única clase de iniciación con ellos y a partir de ahí ir por nuestra cuenta, pero nos gustó tanto el trato y el servicio que nos ofrecieron que nos vemos obligados a volver. Aprendimos muchísimo y nos sentimos en todo momento super bien atendidos.
En nuestro caso especial mención a Pedro, ya que fue nuestro instructor, simplemente nos pareció un profesional de 10 y conectaba mucho con los alumnos. Pero estamos seguros que todo el staff está a la altura por lo poco que pudimos ver.

We had a blast learning from Abel! He was upbeat, fun, and genuinely excited to teach us how to surf. I've never met a friendlier person. And as far as teaching goes, he went above and beyond to get us standing on the surf board. This was an all-around great experience and we would highly recommend booking a lesson (or 2!).
